SINYC's Education Fund, formerly the Bequest Fund, has existed for over 40 years.  The fund was set up to provide financial assistance to children of Soroptimists.  The original money has long been given away.

The SINYC membership decided to enlarge the potential pool to include applicants who demonstrate financial need.  Applications of Soroptimists may still be included and the rules covering the children of Soroptomist Club members stay intact.

Each applicant (men or women) must be enrolled in an undergraduate academic degree program or an accredited vocational school and demonstrate financial need.  All funds will be sent to the institution where the recipient is enrolled.
