Luncheon for New Women Ambassadors, November 3, 2005

The NGO Committee on the Status of Women, NY held its fifth "Women Who Make A Difference" awards luncheon in the Delegates' Dining Room on November 3rd. Nine new Women Ambassadors were  honored this year – Columbia, Croatia, Estonia, Finland, Granada, Latvia, Nauru, New Zealand, and Tonga. SI sponsored the ambassador from Croatia, H.E. Ms. Mirjana Miadineo, who was very gracious, and in her presentation spoke of the women making a difference in Croatia, a country enjoying independence only since the breakup of the Soviet Union.
