MEETINGS

SINYC's General Business Meetings are typically held the second Wednesday of every other month, and Program Meetings are held the second Saturday of every other month. No meetings are held during the summer (July/August). Check the Calendar for the meeting schedule.

SINYC no longer holds monthly meetings at the Williams Club. Please check the calendar for current meeting locations or contact SINYC President.

NEWS & RECENT EVENTS

Each year SINYC hosts many fundraising and special events, such as our annual Holiday Gala, auctions and bring-n-buy sales, special guest speakers, artist-in-training concerts, and dance performances. Click here to see photos from past events.

COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECTS

• STEPS (Self-Help, Training, Education, Prevention, Services) to End Family Violence, a program which offers an alternative to incarceration and/or detention for women who have a history of abuse. Provides comprehensive services relating to court appearances, and also education, counseling and referrals. Services to abused women, including assessment and preparation of a report to the court.
• Coler  Goldwater Specialty Hospital and Nursing Facility on Roosevelt Island, for the terminally ill; support for the patients' garden and holiday parties for residents.
• Mercy Home, provides residential care for developmentally disabled and non-verbal teenagers and young adults.
• Sanctuary For Families, confidential shelter for women and children who are victims of abuse.
• Project AK TENAMIT, in the Guatemalan Rainforest "Let's Educate The Girls" Program, support for a child to receive primary education for one year.
• Connect (Safe Families, Peaceful Communities)
